On 19of April, the fifth Girls’ Day was held in the capital. The event, organized by the Association of Employers of Slovenia, and intended for primary school girls (grades 7, 8 and 9) and secondary school girls, is always well visited due to its current nature and has an increasing dimension with each passing year. This time, over 170 girls, their parents and teachers attended it.

Within the project “Balance” one of the activities is dedicated to schooling girls. The event Girls’ Day encourages a more daring reflection on the professional choice and opportunities offered to girls on the labor market. Girls are still deciding primarily for “stereotypically female” professions, despite of their talents, desires, as well as the requirements of the labor market.

This year's event entitled “Girls' Day: Stereotypes are gone” aimed at overcoming stereotypes in the choice of professions, namely with interesting speakers who presented their stories and experiences and thus encouraged girls to choose their education, studies, profession and career paths that they themselves want.
