IOE, in collaboration with Business at OECD (BIAC) and with support from the European Union, has released a new policy review: Ensuring Tax Policy Supports Employment. The publication examines the critical relationship between taxation and employment, providing analysis and recommendations for employers and policymakers on shaping tax systems that encourage growth, job creation, and investment.
As in previous years, the report also provides a macro-analysis of the EU’s competitiveness compared to other macro-regions. It also includes an in-depth examination of the EU-US trade relationship, its associated risks, and an investigation of the productivity trends of a subset of firms across various Member States, size categories, and in different manufacturing sectors.
On the 5th March the Commission and the European cross-industry social partners signed a new Pact for European Social Dialogue which will strengthen the role of social partners in shaping labour market, employment, and social policies. In a time of global transformation, the new Pact addresses the key challenges faced by European economies.
