Presentation of the draft Act on employee financial participation in profits.

On 14 May 2015, a meeting was held in Ljubljana with the representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology to discuss the draft Act on employee financial participation in profits. The draft Act, which aims to make the employee remuneration more attractive, offers a simplification of the employee rewarding procedure, lowering of the burden of payments to workers and businesses arising from participation in profits, abolition of compulsory registration of contracts at the Ministry and the inclusion of a larger number of companies in sharing of profits. With the adoption of the law, the business environment would become more competitive and stimulating, the employee motivation higher, a closer link between capital and labour, more favourable rewarding of successful employees, most of administrative barriers would be eliminated and economic growth would be promoted.
The workshop participants expressed their support for the project.
