The study tour of theproject took place in Ljubljana and was attended by 22 participants. Participants were mainly representatives of employers’ organisations and trade unions, two of them were company representatives.

During the study tour, the participants visited the premises of:

They met with relevant representatives, who explained organisation and activities of their organisations, their involvement in social dialogue on national and European level. They explained how they are involved in European social partner organisations, how they can influence decisions and also discussed implementation of European social dialogue outcomes in practice.

An important part of the study tour was the visit to the Economic and Social council of Slovenia (ESS), where the president and the secretary of ESS explained the history and work of the council in detail.

A meeting with COGECA representative, which was also planned for the study tour, was unfortunately cancelled a few days before the study tour; their activity was presented by ZZS representative (ZZS is a member of COPA-COGECA).

All along the visits, representatives from Montenegro and FYR Macedonia presented situation in their countries and made comparisons. In this way, the study tour was an important learning practice also for Slovenian participants.

The participants were able to make new contacts and strengthened existing ones and also agreed on future meetings. The event was very important for learning and exchange of experience, the feedback of all participants was very positive.
