PUBLICATIONS Ageing Workforce - Managing the Challenge Position Paper of Six Central and Eastern European Industry and Employers' Federations (392.35 Kb) An initiative by the employers and business federations in Germany, Portugal and Slovenia Joint position on the communication from the European Commission: “Towards Common Principles of Flexicurity – More and better jobs through flexibility and security” (270.11 Kb) The four central business organisations of the Troika countries Germany, Portugal and Slovenia unreservedly welcome the thinking behind the European Commission’s flexicurity communication, i.e. that workers need greater employment security rather than job security in an age when the job for life is increasingly a thing of the past. The aim is to give people security by ensuring that there are new employment opportunities rather than protecting jobs that are no longer economically viable. The Central and Eastern European Industry Cooperation Up-dated Manifesto: Towards more Growth and Jobs (356.01 Kb) Increased economic competitiveness and an improved business environment are indispensable preconditions for higher sustainable growth and employment rates in Europe. These are the key priorities the EU and all its Member States should focus on. Enlargement created a healthy pressure for reform in this respect and should be regarded as a great opportunity to boost Europes competitiveness. The six CEE Federations appreciate and support the renewed Lisbon Strategy in its streamlining efforts and its aim to focus on the most important areas. All publications |
