In Ljubljana, the President of the Slovenian Economic and Social Council, Joze Smole, Secretary General of the Association of Employers of Slovenia, hosted Mr. Nilsson, President of the European Economic and Social Council - ECOSOC. The main topics discussed included the current economic situation and challenges of social dialogue in these circumstances.
A new Occupational Health and Safety Act was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia no. 43/2011 on June 3, 2011. The Act will come into force six months after the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Collective Agreement for Holiday Pay in Slovenia's Catering and Tourism Industry for 2011 was published on May 20, 2011, in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia no. 37/2011.
